KEC International on Saturday said it has secured orders worth ₹1,014 crore in its India transmission and distribution business, including its first 765 kV transmission line project for power evacuation from a pumped storage plant in western India.
According to the regulatory filing, the latest orders take the company’s year-to-date order intake to more than ₹9,600 crore.
The 765 kV transmission line project marks the company’s first order in this category and is aimed at evacuating power from a pumped storage plant.
Vimal Kejriwal, managing director and chief executive officer of KEC International, said the order was secured from an existing client and would support growing power infrastructure requirements in the renewables segment.
The order expands the company’s work in power transmission infrastructure linked to renewable energy.
KEC International is a global infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction company with a transmission and distribution business.
